Ducted air conditioning installation
The whole home cooled and heated by a single unit hidden in the false ceiling. Air reaches each room through grilles and each room can be controlled separately.

How ducted air conditioning works
The indoor unit is hidden, usually in the false ceiling of the hallway or a bathroom. Ducts carry the air from it to each room through supply grilles, and a return grille takes the air back to be treated again. The outdoor unit goes on a terrace, roof or patio.
What makes an installation work well
- Output matched to the home. Neither too small nor oversized.
- Correctly sized ducts and grilles. This is what avoids air noise and draughts.
- A good return. Without a good return, the unit has to work too hard.
- An access hatch. So the unit can be checked and cleaned without breaking the ceiling.
Room-by-room zoning
With motorised dampers and a thermostat in each room, every room has its own temperature and the ones you don’t use aren’t air-conditioned. More comfort and lower consumption. How zoning works.
New builds and pre-installation
We do duct pre-installation in new builds and refurbishments, and fit the unit afterwards. If you are a developer or builder, see how we work with developers and installers.
Only need one or two rooms? A split or multi-split may be simpler.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a false ceiling?
Yes. The indoor unit and the ducts are hidden, usually in the false ceiling of the hallway or a bathroom. If the home doesn’t have one, the ceiling can be lowered where the installation runs. In new builds it is usual to leave the pre-installation done.
Can each room be controlled separately?
Yes, with a zoning system: motorised dampers and a thermostat in each room. That way you only air-condition the rooms you use. How zoning works.
Is it noisy?
Correctly sized and installed, it is one of the quietest systems, because the unit is hidden and away from the rooms. The size of the ducts and grilles is key to avoiding air noise.
I already have the pre-installation. What do you do?
We check that the ducts, grilles, return, pipes and drain are right before fitting the unit, and tell you if anything needs fixing.
