An air conditioner that isn’t serviced keeps working, but worse: it cools less, uses more, can smell and breaks down sooner. One service a year, before summer, avoids most of these problems. It matters even more in a holiday home that stands empty for months.
What is checked on the indoor unit
- Cleaning the filters.
- Cleaning the evaporator (the coil) and the plastic parts.
- Disinfecting the condensate tray, where water collects and smells can appear.
- Checking the drain, to avoid drips.
What is checked on the outdoor unit
- Cleaning the coil, which collects dust and dirt from outside.
- Checking the refrigerant circuit pressures.
- Checking performance: that the unit cools and heats as it should.
- Checking the electrical connections.
How often
We recommend one service a year, in spring, before the heat starts. If the unit runs for many hours, for example in a business or a home with heavy use, it may need more.
What you can do yourself
- Clean the indoor unit filters every few weeks during the season.
- Keep the outdoor unit clear: no plants, boxes or objects blocking the airflow.
- Tell us as soon as you notice drips, new noises or that it cools less than before.
Maintenance plans
We offer annual plans for air conditioning, heat pumps and boilers, with our own technicians in Alicante and Murcia. If you also have an Ariston NUOS, its warranty goes from 2 to 5 years.
